Dear Parents & Students,
Isaiah 43:1-2 says “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”
This scripture is my prayer for LCS this school year. We saw an abrupt change back in March--a change that impacted schools across the world. It caused us to pivot the direction of our teaching and communicating with one another outside of a typical classroom. With that change, we recognized the value of being in school with teachers and friends who became like family.
Here we are now in a new school year and with what we experienced the past several months, we realize how important every moment we share within our LCS walls is to each of us. We see the teachers who know every minute in school is a precious minute to invite the presence of God, to encourage our students towards excellence, and to motivate each other to be our best selves for God’s glory. We see the students who are eager to thrive in their academics, cherish the value of friendship, and lay down their lives for Christ’s kingdom. This is what LCS is all about. We desire God’s presence and know that in this building, we do not lose out on the opportunities to experience His generous love and character.
As we embark on this new school year, my prayer is that every student, every teacher, and every family holds on to the truth that God is with us wherever we go. He walks through the waters with us. We are His beloved. We already walked through so much this year, and I pray you sense God’s presence with you in the midst of any trials you face. His hand is over LCS. His hand is over you. We are expectant for great things to come this school year!
